The Formula ATA – Electric and Hybrid Italy event (ATA, Car Technical Association), which took place at the ENEA Research Centre in the Casaccia area, offered an opportunity to test the range, energy consumption, acceleration, performance and pursuit of battery, hybrid and FC vehicles.
Here are the final results of the races:
Class 1 (sports four wheel cars equipped with electric hybrid systems including the ones that can be plugged into a standard household outlet, as well as battery electric systems including the solar cell and hydrogen FC ones):
1)Race Team – The Polytechnic of Turin (H2Roma partner)
2)Formula Hybrid Team – HTH Zurich
3)Drexel Formula Hybrid – Drexel University
Class 2 (two, three or four wheel race vehicles, without any structure constraints, equipped with the same systems as the ones in class 1):
1)CroLiTH – LinKoping University
2)TrecoLiTH – Linkoping University
3) H2politO – The Polytechnic University of Turin
Class 3 (demonstration systems, prototypes, components and projects):
1) HyTeam – Engineering Department of Rome Sapienza University
2) ENEA Ginko – Rome Sapienza University
3)Hyke – Padua University
The vehicles have all been developed by students from Italian universities as well as from foreign ones such as the Polytechnic University of Zurich, Drexel University in Pittsburgh, Linkoping University in Sweden, Brussels University and Thapar University in India
ENEA has collaborated with Rome Sapienza University for the presentation of the Ginko, electric city-car, and again with Sapienza University and Rome Tre University for the Urb-e hybrid city-car, equipped with high-grade condensers.
