Innovation Cube – Innovation pathways. This is the name of the new format announced today in a joint press conference in Milan by Conceptage Srl, organizing company of the H2Roma energy&mobility show and by Promotor International Spa, organizing company of Bologna Motor Show -International Automobile Exhibition. Innovation Cube will start in December during the 2008 edition of the Bologna Motor Show and it will be signed both by H2Roma and the Motor Show.
Actually Conceptage and Promotor International have signed a long-term collaboration agreement which aims at the development of an unprecedented project related to the technological innovation in the automotive sector. The main issues will be the environment, safety and infomobility, which are all key elements concerning the car and its evolution. This agreement will bring new contents into the Bologna Motor Show as from the next edition and it envisages a development outside the Motor Show boundaries starting from 2009.
Innovation Cube -I-Cube for short, using a fashion among young and less young people - will make mobility technologies more visible. Thus, car industry and the whole innovation sector will share a new space, where to show the developments and the enormous potentials of their research as well as to launch new products.
H2Roma and the Motor Show guarantee Innovation Cube the scientific competence concerning the contents as well as great emotions to be experienced. So the passion for innovation, rooted in the H2Roma experience, and the ability to create emotions from the Motor Show lead to an interesting offer for the car, components, information technology, telecommunications and innovative service industries, for the design, engineering and finance sectors as well as for universities, research centres and institutions.
I-Cube, the "wonder cube" will be able to disclose the visitors today's hi-tech contents and to let them catch a glimpse of tomorrow's in a very attractive way.
Fabio Orecchini, professor of Energy Systems at Sapienza University, will be the scientific coordinator of the project and he will supply the necessary validation of all the activities related to the innovation and technology issues.
Three great steps, Exhibition, Experience and In-depth Analysis will enable the public to experience the emotion of new discoveries. Through a guided path the visitors will have the opportunity to get to know all the secrets of the most advanced technologies available on everyday cars as well as of the ultimate innovations designed for the future ones.
The Innovation Cube format envisages three independent modules as well as the opportunity of developing a road show which will bring the great issues of technology and innovation related to the automotive sector even to contexts different from the traditional Motor Show as from the 2009 edition.
The audience will certainly find the new format original in its contents and completely different from any other international event in the car sector.
Giada Michetti, Promotor International SpA CEO, Bologna Motor Show organizing company, said: " Innovation, technology, environment and safety have always been part of the heritage of our shows where automotive issues have been dealt with in a very exhaustive way. The agreement with H2Roma will enable us to go into these contents still further inside the Show framework: as organizers, our effort will be to make a contribution to the automotive sector and to let the carmakers' message be known by greater audiences. The Bologna Motor Show is an extraordinary stage to let people know how outstanding car companies are moving forward. The agreement couldn't be made but with H2Roma: that will allow us to get the necessary scientific validation and to pass the whole thing to the national and international public in a reliable and highly committed way."
Gabriele Bordon, managing director of Conceptage Srl, organizing company of H2Roma energy&mobility show, said: " H2Roma is expanding its sphere of action and is going to become the designer of Innovation Cube, a new project on innovation inside the Bologna Motor Show framework." and he added: "... innovation is inside the H2roma DNA and this very element will be the thread that will guide the visitors to the discovery of the most innovative technologies available on the cars they drive in their everyday life as well as of the technologies that will be adopted for tomorrow's cars."
Prof. Orecchini said: "In 2002 H2Roma started an open debate on the 'energy and sustainable mobility' issue. The event has increasingly become a reference in the sector and has grown into a complete and original energy&mobility show.
Setting up a project together with the Bologna Motor Show in such an intriguing area as automotive innovation combines the H2Roma inborn passion for the improvement of energy and mobility technologies with the emotional impact that the Motor Show can raise, thus opening up a very interesting path which can make people get closer to scientific issues and can promote interest in cutting edge technologies.
