Photos of new Volkswagen's redesigned 'Mark VI' Golf are now bouncing around the internet.
A report on a car enthusiasts' website said there would have a new diesel engines with common-rail injection technology and new Euro 5-compliant petrol and diesel engines up to 28% more fuel efficient than current engines.
These would include a 110hp, two-litre diesel that uses 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres and emits 119g/km of CO2, which would put it in a low annual road tax band, already implemented in the UK, which uses a CO2 emissions-based system.
That report also said the redesigned Golf would be offered with adaptive chassis, automatic distance control and parking assistance for the first time.
