Background
The first Scientific Workshop with the Press, called H2Roma, was born in 2002, inspired by some Researchers from Rome University "la Sapienza", from CNR and ENEA, all of them committed to Hydrogen as one of the cleanest energy vector solutions.
Vision
H2 Roma is a project aimed to develop the Culture of Energy, by communicating that the future is at hand and making that understandable in order to generate a more conscious attitude towards the cultural change required.
Mission

Speeding things up rather than running after them in order to have an edge over any options concerning the future developments offered by the Hydrogen energy vector to a wider and wider audience.
As a matter of fact, Hydrogen, for its own characteristics is perfectly complementary to renewable resources, indeed it allows to overcome their limits, that is, variability, aleatory aspects and low energetic density. An energetic model based on these pivot elements allows to create completely closed energy sources cycles: it does not consume finite resources, does not generate waste or negatively affect the environment.
The result is a really true sustainable energy system, which is the model that inspires H2 Rome activities and ultimately its views of the future.
Developing “The Culture of Energy”, according to the above mentioned approach, is the Mission pursued by H2 ROMA through an articulated communication project able to understand the Science language and to make it intelligible to a wider audience. It is a bijective design able to recognize people’s needs and priorities and to report them to the Researchers.
Event

H2 ROMA believes that there are no barriers between Science and Society, that one does not exist separated from the other, therefore they have chosen a Scientific Workshop with the press as an annual reference event where leading Italian Researchers meet the Media, Institutions, market operators as well as committed people to present and discuss technologies, innovation, ongoing projects and achievements.
A round table where the involved “actors” share experiences and focus their attention on the opportunities offered by the use of renewables in Italy and in Europe.
Agorà
An area where to touch and feel the responsible technologies oriented to the final zero emissions target.
